To increase humility and decrease pride I have to see the nature of the one who is proud or humble. I have to see the nature of "me." Once I see this marvelous simplicity, there is no room for either pride or false humility. I am instantly and ruthlessly humbled. The fake veneer of "me" that is posturing here as a "somebody" is seen to be empty, so it vanishes like dew from the grass.
